Moving about the streets, Cody found today to be quite a nice day. There was no crimes going on that he'd have to deal with, and everyone seemed to be
happy. He decided it was time to stretch his legs and give himself a break. He was excited about getting some icecream or perhaps just goin to a library and
enjoying the city. It'd been some time before he could rest and relax, and he was sure that today was a great day for it.

Cruising down the streets at a nice even 30mph, a familiar blue car passes by Cody, the turbine engine
quite audible as it glides down the blocks of the city streets.
A dog, whom a guy was walking, afew yards in front of Cody, went quirky as the car passed by, barking and howling and bucking against the leash to get away from the car, and failing that, laid down and rolled over as if wishing to die. The only 2 questions were; to where?, and why did the dog react so? Well, wherever Jaiden was off to, it was a sure bet that trouble would soon follow.....

Cody watched as the car drove by, and sighed. He should've known that he wouldn't be able to get a day off in this city. It was a great city, but it
was a big city, and that meant alot of things going on at once. He knew that it was best to follow Jaiden, he most likely was going somewhere to pick up
something that was probably illegal.
"Eh great. Thats just what I need, more trouble. Oh well, guess it's a good day for flying anyway." Making sure to find a back alley, a white cloud enveloped him as he transformed into Horizon City's personal superhero, Conduit. The white skin, the white, dark green lined white uniform, it was a sign of safety to the city, and sometimes he would fly around just to remind everyone he was here. Now, however, he had more important things to do. He quickly flew after Jaiden's car, as there wasn't much he could do for the dog. Maybe he could find out what was making such a ruckus... |

A figure squatted in the shadows of a near by ally, watching the two take off. He pulled a cell phone out from the coat he was wearing. In a monotone voice he talked to the person on the other end. "I think I found them...yeah the driver and the hero..... right stage two commencing..." He hung up the phone and crushed it in his hand. "Right no tech near the floating guy..." He stood up, pulling the jacket caller up. He pulled out a pair of white gloves solid white cloth mask from his pocket and slid them on. With a leap he began to scale to the roof of the building. As he quietly hit the roof he took off in pursuit seemingly gaining on the two. |

Before Conduit could continue to persue the car, his cosmic sense began to alert him to something behind him. He stopped, hoping to find out what it was, and
turned to see something coming towards them. There was a man, or at least it seemed to be, leaping from building to building. While the car was obviously off
to do no good, this guy could be planning something even worse.
"You'd think with all these new heroes popping up I could at least take a day off, but noooooo." He chuckled to himself and changed course, heading now for the human flea that was after them. Maybe it was a new hero, someone that he could help out learning the ropes, or maybe it was someone that had just moved into town and somehow aquired some powers. Regardless, it was probably a good idea to go meet this guy, as his cosmic sense didn't alert him to normal activity.. |

War looked up, seeing Conduit fly to him. "He knows I'm following..." He mumbled. "Making no noise, no smell, must be some other
sense..." He said making notes to himself." He lept down between two buildigs, his feet grabing onto the wall as small white spikes formed from the
bottoms of his shoes, piersing the sides of a building. He stopped momentarily as he adjusted to standing on the side of the building before running onto the
opposite side, in an attemp to loose the flying man. He lept down another ally, landing without pause as he began to try and catch up with the car.
"Can't make a scene..." he muttered comely.

It soon became obvious that Jaiden was flaunting about when s/he turned right to pass the main police station complex, slowed way down, and cranked up some
techno music, catching the attentions of the beat-cops nearby.
As an officer walks up to the car, the window rolls down, and a lithe hand emerges out of the car, handing him a thick packet of fliers, bound in a sleeve with the instructions of 'pass them around' written on it. The cop looks at the fliers, and obviously being distracted, the window rolls back up, and the thumping of the techno music and whine of the turbine engine fades as The Driver rolls off to wherever.... |

War watched as the car drove away. "Time to move..." He muttered as he lept from the side of the building, landing inside the ally. He looked around
for any sign of his persuer before taking off in an attempt to follow the car. "Going to be tuff to keep up... can't get to high..." He thought
out load as he looked for a way to keep his sights on the car.

The infamous blue car had apparently disappeared for the next 8 hours, while the cops ramped up activity and patrol presences.
The fliers that Jaiden gave out issued a race between any and all comers, including any police vehicle unit models, modified or not, and that Jaiden would be there. The time of the race would be 10pm and the starting line would be the corner of east avenue and 137th, 5 blocks down from a highway entry point, commonly called 'the clover'. It was a prime entry point for highway racing, and traffic was light at this time of night. It was now 9:53 PM and quite a beautiful night, with a full moon hanging in the sky, occasionally obscured by patchy thin overcast, and as stated, there was a veritable feast of a car show in the parking lots of the Twin Pines mall on east avenue and 137th. Music was thumping and money was flowing on bets as to who would win, and everyone had 600-1 odds or better that The Blue Car would win, even outmatching the cops at their own games. so far, nothing too illegal had gone on yet, but only because the cops had shown up in sufficient numbers to make sure that nothing funky went down. The cops were willing to turn the other cheek for the gambling, if it meant a prospect at catching The Driver. As the noise ordinance would be enforceable only after midnight, and everyone who had questionable drinks was over 20, the only thing to do now was wait for 10 pm.....

It was 8:00pm and War sat in a warehouse owned by his boss, getting ready for his "mission". Around him sat hundreds of crates and
boxes, all of them in varies sizes, and two large metal shipping containers locked shut. He had managed to snag one of the fliers before loosing his target.
"This is not my... forte..." He muttered as he finished strapping into a white, with black detailing motorcycle racing uniform; the only deference
was that under the leather was a layer of high-density body armor. He stood up after securing the uniform, and placed his solid white helmet on over the white
mask he wore that afternoon.

Sure enough at 9:59, The Driver showed up as the DJ was spinning up another song, and keeping the crowds bouncy.
With The Driver rolling up to the perma-painted crosswalk line, the others scrambled for their cars and took what positions were open behind Jaiden and the exo-bikes, and including the several dozen police units, there were about 50 to 80 cars there. It was gonna be a very long night.... ************************* On the other side of town, the biggest deal ever to happen in Horizon city was about to go down at the docks; drugs, weapons, slave trafficking, bootlegged medias and stolen goods. It was opening time at the black market walmart, and the Irish gangs were hosting it in exchange for the possibility of more territory from the Russian cartel. ...And apparently, nobody was the wiser; cops had not a clue - they were looking at the Race, hoping to get a piece of The Driver. Everything was going as planned so far.... |

The two riders started to mess with several buttons and switches, reading the bikes and certain electrical systems wired into both their bikes and their suits.
The hydraulics flexed as their engines seem to roar with new life as fuel additives began to pump in. War watched as information begain to load up on his
visor's screen. "Get ready to floor it..." He said to his partner over their com link, as he looked at the driver. He gave her a little salute as
the clock begain to count down. On the other side of his bike, the second rider looked over and motion her to 'bring it on' in a very
colorfull way.
"Watch it..." War warned as he noticed the
motions.
