Cody couldn't quite understand what the man on the line was trying to say. Was it a mess or wasn't it? His friend was babbling about something, but it sounded important. Perhaps important enough for Conduit to take a visit, but first Cody needed more information.
"Woah Tim, hold on. You're not making sense, is it a mess or isn't it?"
"It's a mess...just a cold one. Look I gotta go, but if you get some free time you gotta come down here. You need to see this to believe it. Otherwise, I'll tell you at work tonight. See ya."
Cody said his goodbye and hung up. Obviously his friend had seen something there, but wasn't telling him what. As a white cloud enveloped Cody's body, he knew indeed that he would make time in his schedule to go down there. Quickly flying out of a window, Cody, now as Conduit, flew quicky to the scene. An art house had been attacked, but not by some normal gangster or social deviant. This one was partially frozen, dead, frozen bodies inside of it.
The police at the scene informed him that they'd found two other art houses the same way, and there was only a few left in the city that hadn't been hit. So far they hadn't picked up any sort of motive or trail, perhaps it was just the art, perhaps something more. While he was there, a call came in that another art house was being attacked the same way. Knowing that he would get there before the police, the white and dark green clad superhero darted off into the air, soaring towards the art house.
When he got there, it was already empty, but the perpetrator was definately still attacking. There were several security guards, all poised around the entrance, all frozen in ice. There was nothing that Conduit could do for them, save for help bring in whatever had done this. He quickly entered the building, looking around to see just where the bandit might be...
